FAQs About Hummingbird Dayhome
Are you a licensed dayhome?
No, I have not gone through the process of licensing my dayhome. However, as I have worked for the Government of Alberta for a Dayhome Agency, I am very familiar with the safety and program requirements, and uphold them as though my home were licensed.
Are you subsidized?
Unfortunately not at this time. However, give us a call and we can send you our fee list!
Do I need to provide a lunch?
Nope! I provide a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack that adheres to Canada's Food Guide.
I cook meals from scratch, with natural ingredients from my garden, provided I get a good yield!
Do you provide care outside of your operating hours?
Yes, I understand that working schedules are different for every family and emergencies can come up, therefore I am happy to provide care outside of my listed hours with adequate notification!
My child is a picky eater, what if they don't like what is on the menu?
This is a completely normal phase for children, and this is where consistent communication with you, the parent, is so important. My menu can be changed to suit dietary needs and preferences, so that the child is fed and happy and receiving the nutritional benefits from their meals!
How often do you go outside?
We go outside at least twice every day, rain or shine! Only extreme weather will prevent us from exploring the outdoors!
What if I have more questions?
Always feel free to call or email us with any questions you may have!
